This study is about prevention of violence in indigenous communities of the Bolivian highlands, based on the need to do this work with respect for cultural diversity. Two prevention approaches are compared: one focuses on the problem, providing education about violence, its causes and how to report it, while the other focuses on solutions, prioritizing the notion of well-being of the person in their culture and encouraging people to describe their presence in the community. Physiological parameters such as oxygenation level and heart rate were taken into account using a quantitative, quasi-experimental and exploratory methodology, with 12 interviews in total, 6 in each approach. The results suggest that problem-focused interviews present a greater alteration in heart rate and lower oxygenation, while solution-focused interviews are associated with a greater state of well-being, with slightly lower heart rates and greater oxygenation. However, it is recognized that this study has limitations and the need for broader research that considers differences according to the ages of the participants is suggested.
