My Forthcoming Book

The publisher of my forthcoming book (due out in November) just notified me that pre-orders are now available on Amazon and their webpage. They also sent along the final cover, which I am quite pleased with.

Personally, I’ve described this book as part (very accessible, not super dense) philosophical treatise on Aquinas’s notion of the good life and part (very practical, as in immediately actionable) field manual for developing discipline across multiple domains—from your fitness routine to your prayer life.

It’s definitely a unique project and not the usual sort of thing you’ll find me writing about. I hate the category of “self-help,” so I seriously hesitate to use it to describe my book, but in a way, that’s sort of what it is. Just think self-help more along the lines of Meditations rather than the more modern and atrocious sort of stuff, like—well. Never mind. My mother always taught me that if you can’t say anything nice...
