Journal As Altar · Cut & Paste For Life

Well, well, well…if it isn’t February already. And yet also somehow only 5 weeks in to 2026? EXCUSE ME? One thing we can do, in between taking exquisite care of our neighbors, is cut and paste our way through it. Right? RIGHT.

If you don’t have access but would like to, I encourage you to support my work by becoming a paid subscriber (though sometimes I release these free to all, as with December’s printable). I hope, as always, that you love this one - and that it inspires creativity in your journaling & papercraft heart! If you use these images in your pages, I would love to see them (tag me here and on instagram, pretty please)!

Thank you from the bottom of MY journaling & papercraft heart for being a member of this little “crafting our way through the complexity of life” club. Your subscriptions support this space to grow. And if there’s content you want to see, please share in the comments.

A note on these printables: the images you see are varying combinations of my original illustrations and hand lettering (digital & analogue), photos, and words combined with images and fonts that I purchase with a license to use in this manner.

The image below is a preview (and only half of the whole sheet - sometimes I like the element of surprise!). Download the printable pdf below the pesky paywall.

THANK YOU FOR BEING A JOURNALING OBSESSED BADDIE WITH ME!

  • people being incredibly good neighbors, demonstrating love that moves mountains -

  • Benito Bowl on the horizon, and all the internet culture surrounding that

  • the brand refresh for JAA in development 👀

  • researching and daydreaming about designing washi tape and maybe (??) getting it manufactured

  • writing with fountain pens, just generally and always

  • how current I am in my hobonichi

  • 1000’s of people singing together outside of hotels where ICE is staying, about how it’s not too late to change their minds and put down their weapons

  • seeing people who rarely ever speak up, speaking up

  • citrus hazy IPAs

  • learning how to accept and actually be okay with people not liking me (not intellectually, because that part is easy - but actually in my gut and in my spirit)

  • The Heather Cox Richardson daily podcast

  • almond butter filled pretzels

  • HIIT class (what? who am I?) and specifically screaming at ICE in my head when I want to give up

  • the deep stretch class that follows the HIIT class

  • Rob on Traitors (are other straight guys also wearing sweater vests with bare arms now??? is that a thing? is Rob straight?)

  • women wearing baseball caps with so many different and clever Heated Rivalry quips

  • women realizing that the coercive beauty standards set by men who are worse than we ever could have imagined are actually a disgusting trap - and then choosing to love their bodies and their age as an act of defiance

  • printing these printables and cutting them out while watching a good show with Ames

  • YOU!

xoxo I love you xoxo
