Do regular bloodwork if you can. I uncovered my clinical hypothyroidism (last reading: TSH 7.44). I use a service called Rythm Health.

Over the last year I noticed my energy levels starting to plummet…

My TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) has been elevated despite trying to fix it with diet and lifestyle (which means thyroid is under active).

(FYI - I didn’t really even know about thyroid stuff 1 year ago.)

Many of my numbers kept getting worse, and I was becoming more and more fatigued. Working out really hard was actually hurting, not helping.

Doing all the right things: eating clean, minimal alcohol, optimizing sleep, etc…

Body still not wanting to produce enough of the hormone even with trying to fix it.

So, finally my functional medicine doctor and I decided to treat it because my under active thyroid is wrecking my hormones.

I am now on levothyroxine (which is pervasive and well tolerated). Convinced that my untreated hypothyroidism is the root cause issue.

Curious if anyone else has dealt with thyroid issues? If so, I’d love to hear from you.
