I couldn’t see the forest from the trees

Weather is finally warm up here in Canada land.

For those not familiar, our winters are usually cold and summers are quite warm, but spring seems to not exist. Or in other words, it’s cold, it’s still cold, then it’s rainy, but still cold…

Then boom! All of a sudden it’s hot and summer.

But hey, can’t and won’t complain now that it’s finally here.

Spent the last week or two making some space to re-focus.

As the weather got nicer and my daughter gets older, spending more time outside when not working, thinking, etc.

I think part of it was because I started spreading myself too thin.

We now have 2 tech platforms we’re selling at my legal tech company, Visto. Practicing in two areas of law: immigration and family. Writing lots of content on LinkedIn and this Substack. And I somehow found the time to put together a course on how to build custom AI GPTs too (see the link in item #2 of my signature below if interested).

In short, it was too much, but I needed some space to even realize it. As you know, when you’re spending all your time working in the business(es), you can’t always see the forest from the trees.

So anyway, I’m taking some steps to zero in on a few key goals and focuses, and I’m back in action with content. I’m back to writing more and even recording more short form videos on Tiktok.

As I’ve written about many times before, and especially in the world of AI where anyone and their mother can start a company, build a product, etc., your personal brand and marketing will be more important than ever. Because if anyone can launch a product/service, it is distribution that will separate the winners from the losers.

Are you constantly working on your brand/marketing? Or praying that leads keep coming in?

Especially with how the economy is looking here in Canada, it’s only going to get harder. Times are tough, budgets are shrinking.

So focus up and get your marketing plan in place. I’ll continue to talk more about mine, and if you have any specific questions, ask away.

Have a great day,
