I get this a lot. “You don’t look autistic.” It’s meant as a compliment, I think. Like I’ve done a good job of hiding it. Gold star for passing. Or it’s a remark that implies I don’t have autism because I don’t visibly struggle. You know, like you can’t have COVID if you don’t get tested. Or you don’t look like you have cancer—is that one?
