Walking on Water

This is the manuscript, as is, from Sunday’s message.

Here’s a visual to go along with the opening story:

In October of 2015, I felt like I was at a crossroads.
Surprise, surprise, Joe is in trouble with the bishop, and the future seemed a bit shaky.

I felt stuck at my church.
It felt like I took them as far as I could go and I was getting restless.

In the meantime, I already got connected with the Texas Annual Conference, and they were ready and willing to accept our transfer. I didn’t know what to do.

Do I stay in CA?
Do we pack up our lives and travel to the foreign country, known as Texas?

During that time, we were doing a sermon series called Circle Maker based on the book of the same name — encouraging us to take risks; dream big; be history makers.

I had a crazy idea about dreaming big… and taking risks — taking a leap of faith.
