Edwin Jovanny Lopez Cornejo, 41, Died in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) died over the weekend at Delaney Hall

Edwin Jovanny Lopez Cornejo, a 41-year-old immigrant from El Salvador died under detention of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention.

ICE arrested him outside of his home on June 18. He was pronounced dead on Saturday by medical staff at University Hospital in Newark.

Will be reporting for Slice of Culture of the latest with Delaney Hall. A vigil is set to take place in the evening today at 7:30 p.m. outside on Delaney Hall.
