Happy Mother’s Day! I now have my Associate in Engineering from Durham Tech, and just finished final exams for the semester at NC State, where I’m working on a BS in Physics. About once a day, my mom says, “Who woulda thunk it?!”
To be fair, I didn’t show a lot of promise straight out of high school, but my devout Southern Baptist mother drove several hours to see me play some kind of weird heavy metal fusion at a place called Dick’s Clam & Cow when I was 23. She had no idea what I was up to, but she knew how to show me she loved me. Thank you, Mama.
