Bob Dylan is Like Licorice

July 19th, I’m going to sing a Bob Dylan song at Lincoln Theater in Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s only one song, and I’m not going to tell you which one, but I bought a suit for it. I’m serious.

I saw Dylan in concert once, and the best I can say about it is that Merle Haggard opened, and Merle was incredible. However, Bob’s song catalog is almost beyond belief. His lyrics are literary, and his output is almost supernatural. When other artists sing his songs, it puts that unbridled genius in relief. I mean, isn’t All Along the Watchtower iconic in Jimi Hendrix’s hands? Adele singing Make You Feel My Love?! Have you heard Patti LaBelle’s version of Forever Young?!! LAWD. I’m just going to leave this right here:

So, who else is on that night at Lincoln Theater?
