Hi there,
After a busy summer, I’m finding a quiet moment on a long train ride to send an update on upcoming offerings and some resources I’ve been enjoying.
Making it rain - paying close attention to the cloud of possibility: where are droplets coalescing into drops, ready to journey to the earth and bring life?
October 3rd - 12th
Microsolidarity is a community-building framework that aims to create small, supportive groups where people foster their individual and collective development through mutual care, responsibility, and connection. On October 3rd, we’ll launch another round of this two-week online course, where you’ll get a chance to experience the basic principles and practices. Together with Gui Trevisan, I will be hosting one of the two groups. I’m excited to host this, cause the practices we work with are so simple, yet powerful. People leave every call being super energized and pumped to create more connection in their own community and that just makes me really happy. Plus it’s cool to get to meet so many new folks who also care about making a difference through paying attention to the way they relate with their peers. October 17th - December 5th
I’m super duper stoked to announce an offering that has been a long time coming: Make it Rain is an 8-week coaching group for changemakers who are longing for more joy and ease in their communities, while they are giving their all to make a tangible difference for a world that works for all life. I co-designed this program together with Jocelyn Ames whom I had the pleasure of hosting the Microsolidarity Summer Camp and the last cohort of the practice program. Over the course of 8 weeks, you’ll develop the skill of consistently taking action from a place of connection with your values and bringing your vision for your project to life. The program includes 4 group coaching sessions, 4 peer support sessions, 2 1:1 coaching sessions, and access to a community of like-minded changemakers. If you are engaged in social change work or have an idea for a project and you really care about bringing a relationship lens to it, we’d love to have you! You can learn more about the program here: https://collectivetransformation.coach/make-it-rain
If you’re unsure if this program is the right fit for you, let me know, I’d be happy to chat!
I currently have the capacity to take on pro-bono clients. If you’re a (aspiring) changemaker on a tight budget and you feel stuck, are constantly doing too much or struggle to find joy in your purposeful work, please reach out! I’d be happy to support you in clarifying how to balance your engagement with other important aspects of your life and to thrive while you're making an important impact!
With Civil Action Network we’ll be hosting a weekend gathering this October, if you are interested in getting to know us better, if you’re looking for a collaborative home for your social change effort, or if you just want to spend a weekend with likeminded folks, exploring regenerative activism, emergent social change and community-based transformation, check-out the invitation here.
If you’re based in Vienna, watch this space for updates on local events, we’re currently planning a series of workshops on everything from relational skills to collaborative decision-making and community organizing.
In this article, I summarize some of my learnings around power and collaborative leadership that I got from co-hosting the Microsolidarity Summer Camp.
I’ve recently been enjoying Andrew Huberman’s podcast on the science of making and breaking habits.
I’m currently taking an online course by the School for Social Design on meaning and values - it’s amazing and I’m learning a lot about myself and about how to design better offerings. They have a lot of free resources on their website https://www.sfsd.io/
Alright, that’s it for now
I wish you a pleasant September!
Jonas
