Inside Alligator Alcatraz: My interview with Represntative Maxwell Frost

I sat down with Florida Congressman Maxwell Frost after his visit to what’s being called “Alligator Alcatraz” — a nickname that’s almost too grotesque to believe until you realize it fits. This is the ICE-run detention facility deep in the Everglades, where migrants are caged in sweltering, bug-infested conditions and stripped of basic dignity. It’s a place so remote, so shielded, so cruel by design, you’d think it belonged in a dystopian novel.

But it’s here. And it’s operating right now, in our name.
