I recently posted asking what readers wish they’d known before having facelift surgery—and I want to thank everyone who shared personal anecdotes.
Your learnings (and, yes, regrets) spanned everything from qualities to look for (and look out for) in a surgeon to navigating the complexities of recovery to what to expect in the months following a facelift. And although I’m talking to surgeons on an almost-daily basis, each of your insights taught me something new, reaffirming the fact that openly discussing plastic surgery experiences, to whatever degree one is comfortable, can truly benefit patients as well as the field as a whole.
Here, AU readers reveal what they wish they’d known before going under the knife.
