Reclaim Your Energy · Reclaim Your Energy

Ever notice how some days everything gets under your skin? One annoying text, five minutes on social media, someone else’s bad mood, and suddenly the vibe is gone. We’ve all been there!

Something I’ve learned over the years: bad days don’t happen all at once. They happen one tiny choice at a time. What you give your attention to, who you spend time with, the conversations you entertain, and the way you talk to yourself all shape how you feel from day to day and it all adds up. Start protecting those things more diligently, and life gets a whole lot more enjoyable! Here are 10 simple ways to do exactly that this week:

1. Stay out of gossip and drama

Protecting your vibe sometimes looks like minding your own business. Leave the group chat, change the subject, and let other people’s chaos stay exactly where it belongs.

2. Let go of things you can’t control

Some things are simply outside your job description. Save your energy for the parts of life where your choices actually change the outcome.

3. Spend less time comparing yourself to everyone else

Comparison steals the fun out of everything. Keep your eyes on your own life long enough and you’ll start noticing just how much you’re growing.

4. Make your faith bigger than your fear

Fear has a funny way of acting like it’s really good at predicting the future. Most of the things you worry about never end up happening anyway.

5. Trust your gut more often

You probably don’t need five different opinions before making every decision. Give yourself permission to trust what you already know.

6. Learn to enjoy your own company

Take yourself out for coffee, wander through a bookstore, or spend an afternoon listening your favorite playlist. Feeling comfortable alone is one of those things that can really change your whole life.

7. Speak to yourself like someone you love

Imagine your best friend made the same mistake you did today. Your response would probably be a lot kinder than the one you gave yourself.

8. Stop making everyone else comfortable at your own expense

Take it from a former people-pleaser: it’s seriously expensive, and your energy usually ends up paying the bill. A simple “no” can protect your vibe more than another forced “yes.”

9. Spend less time with people who leave you feeling drained

Pay attention to how you feel after spending time with someone. The right people will leave you feeling inspired, happier, and more like yourself.

10. Care less about opinions that don’t improve your life

Before you let someone’s opinion ruin your day, ask yourself one question: Would I actually trade lives with them? If the answer is no, keep moving.
