NEW RELEASE: One writer’s soul cry for peace amid the violence he has chronicled as a journalist at some of the nation’s top newspapers for more than three decades.

A stirring and yet haunting cry for an end to the violence that continues to claim the innocent and young, even amid another looming summer under the threat of more violence. A tribute to those slain, “Playground of Peace” sounds the clarion call for a city to rise up, and echoes a refrain to “heal the land.”

It is the words of an award-winning writer emergent in a new song in a blend of Gospel and Soul that rings with clarity and hope. Straight from the heart and soul of Chicago native son JWes the Writer also known as John W. Fountain.
