Sophie Anderson’s Memorial Garden

I opened TikTok yesterday to see this video of Rebecca More cutting the rope on a garden dedicated to her departed friend Sophie Anderson.

I hadn’t thought about Sophie in some time. If you’re new here, you may not have read my eulogy for her:

I reread the post and rewatched some of her videos, but the best thing I did was to follow her advice this morning and take five minutes to drink my coffee before looking at my phone, to wake up with the world.

I’m so glad to see Sophie memorialized in such a beautiful way, and that the celebration her life includes both acknowledgement of how kind and how ridiculous she was. To be remembered as loving and silly is something to aspire to.

We miss you, Sophie!
