Initial readings from the Palm Beach Trophy Wife Index™ (PBTWI™) reflected the improved mood. After registering 6.5 last month, the index rose to 6.8 in June.

This month’s increase was driven by several factors:

✔ Healthy cosmetic enhancement activity.

✔ Persistent fine dining shortages.

✔ Continued strength in designer handbag demand.

And perhaps most encouraging, recent SpaceX beneficiaries appeared busy converting rocket profits into luxury consumables. Researchers at the Palm Beach Player Research Institute observed increased activity in jewelry stores, luxury automobile dealerships, and high-end restaurants.

Several members of the Trophy Wife Farm System™ were reportedly conducting extensive due diligence on prospective candidates whose net worth had recently achieved escape velocity.

Everything appeared normal. And then reality set in. Peace, as it turns out, doesn’t make people happy. It merely gives people time to worry about other things. Conversations quickly shifted from missiles to markets. Tariffs replaced geopolitics. Estate planning resumed its rightful place in Palm Beach discourse.

And by week’s end, anxiety levels had largely returned to normal. Palm Beach may be remarkably resistant to recessions. Anxiety, however, remains recession-proof. Indeed, Palm Beach has survived wars, inflation, and bear markets.

Moral bankruptcy, however, appears firmly entrenched in a secular bull market.
