Thanks to all of you that made the journey with me through parts one and two. For the new folks joining us here in Part 3, feel free to stick around, but you may want to start back on part 1 and part 2 for some foundational context.
When we left Part 2, we had a working system, but not one that would always work. Lithium systems can disconnect and that disconnect event means that virtually everything electrical on the boat will stop. This is inconvenient any time and downright dangerous a good many other times. We will take some steps to make sure the world won’t go dark on us.
Secondly, we didn’t have all the fusing and switching that we really wanted. I’ll explain what we want and why, and how to go about setting this gear up.
