Hope you’re having a beautiful summer.
Recently I’ve found it’s the mornings when I have been most active, navigating the heatwave’s that have engulfed the UK and Europe has meant a slight shift in how my day’s pan out. I assume you’re finding things similar, looking for ways to keep cool.
A gap in commissions has also allowed me to revisit some recent projects - spend time with some edits that required a slower look.
Some work requires a little more space and time, allowing more interesting edits to develop.

I feel drawn to the quiet of the desert.
Soft white folds and gentle slopes melt through the landscape.
Distance, time, thoughts and memory no longer rigid, all lost to the vast space and quiet.
Seemingly untouchable - I feel fully present.
I look back at some of these images and they still appear surreal. I walked those dunes for days yet my footsteps no longer exist.
Below are a small collection of images from my time in Lençóis Maranhenses, on Brazil’s north Atlantic coast. Known for its vast desert landscape of tall, white sand dunes and seasonal rainwater lagoons.

White Desert Of A Thousand Lakes, 2026
Samarkand, Uzbekistan, a city nestled along the historic Silk Road, binding the romance of the East with the timeless dust of desert conquerors and ancient star-gazers.
I recently visited this wonderful city on commission, I wondered the streets - exploring the ancient mosques, mausoleum’s, and ancient architecture that feel so very alluring.
Nearer publication I look forward to sharing many of these images with you. Meanwhile here’s a small selection from some of the equally fascinating backstreets and residential neighbourhoods.
