Does it feel like you need to reset your nervous system? I’m putting together a few options in both Delaware and Florida coming up in the second half of the year that will be an opportunity let go of what feels heavy and reconnect you to your truth again. If you want to learn more, send me a quick message and I’ll send you the details.

What if the only way to truly experience the light… was to first sit in the dark?
I just returned from a trip on a sailboat across Lake Michigan with a group of soulful humans. As the wind carried us across open water, our conversations drifted toward everything that seems to be going wrong in the world—natural disasters, political chaos, social disconnection, pandemics, power struggles. The question lingered in the air: Why is it all happening?
And more importantly—what for?
It got me thinking about the role of darkness in this 3D Earth experience. If you’re here, reading this, you likely didn’t come to this planet to coast through life with a silver spoon and a portfolio that never dips. You came here for the full ride. The highs, the lows, the beauty, the chaos. The messy, breathtaking, soul-shaping journey.
Across spiritual traditions and ancient texts—from the Vedas to Christian mysticism—we hear of creation and destruction, light and shadow, yin and yang. These aren’t just poetic metaphors. They are blueprints of the universe.
Without darkness, there is no contrast, no appreciation of light. No growth. No transformation. And maybe, no purpose.
Imagine a life without struggle. Without tension. Without the edges that shape us. That’s what the original Matrix film series explored—the first version of the Matrix was a utopia, perfect in every way. And humanity rejected it. Why? Because it lacked meaning. There was no friction, no pain… and therefore, no opportunity for awakening.
In many ways, we’re living that paradox now. We crave comfort, but we evolve through challenge.
On a soul level, I believe we chose to incarnate now, during a massive shift in human consciousness. We chose to walk through the darkness so we could remember the light—not just personally, but collectively. Our generation is living through what some would call a “great turning,” a death and rebirth cycle that reshapes entire civilizations.
Every 80 to 100 years, systems collapse. Empires dissolve. New worlds emerge. That’s not pessimism—it’s a pattern.
And with each ending, there are those clinging to the old and those ushering in the new. Each side sees the other as the villain. But if you zoom out, both are part of the same spiral of evolution. One force destroys, the other creates—but both are necessary for something new to take root.
So how do we navigate all this without getting lost in the noise, the fear, the division?
We find the middle path.
In Taoist philosophy, the yin and yang symbol has a winding line through its center—that’s the path of neutrality. Not passive, but awake. Observing without attaching. Rooted in presence, not pulled into polarity.
When you walk that path, your nervous system calms. Your intuition sharpens. You become less reactive to headlines, projections, and old narratives. You start tuning into the 10 million bits of subconscious information flowing through you each day—not just the 150 bits of noise your conscious mind is filtering.
Neutrality doesn’t mean you don’t care. It means you stop fighting shadows and start anchoring light.
We often hear: “Escape the matrix!” But what if that’s the wrong goal? What if you chose this matrix to test yourself? To see if you could wake up within the game? To remember that the matrix isn’t inherently evil—it’s the canvas on which your soul creates.
True awakening doesn’t come from escaping the world. It comes from learning how to live in the world but not of it.
That’s the challenge. That’s the gift.
If any of this resonates, I invite you to explore further. I’ve got a few workshops and mini-retreats coming up, including one next Thursday, August 7th at 7pm in Ocean View, Delaware. It’s a space to reconnect with your inner knowing and find your footing in the shifting tides.
If you’re not local, send me a message—I’m working on online versions too.
Or join me inside The Flow Forum, a free community where I’ve gathered tools, teachings, and practices to help you find that neutrality, deepen your meditation, and live in greater alignment.
You don’t have to do this alone.
We’re all in this spiral together.
Next Thursday in Ocean View, DE I have a magnetic workshop where we will be reconnecting with our intuition. It’s 90 minutes of interrupting your normal patterns to connect with the guiding voice inside you. You will leave with tools you can use for the rest of your life and a strengthened connection to your divinity.
