Christ at the Checkpoint: Live with Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac

Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac has been a personal hero of mine for many years now. When western empires (backed by the western church) started supporting what the United Nations and other international humanitarian watchdogs have officially labeled as a ‘genocide’ in Gaza, Munther’s 2023 Christmas sermon as a Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Pastor was streamed to millions of people worldwide - leading to a host of unlikely media invitations ranging from CNN to Tucker Carlson’s show.

In that sermon, Munther prophetically, courageously, and famously declared a simple yet profound pastoral truth (which I quote in my book, The Justice of Jesus):

“If Jesus were born today, he would be born under the rubble in Gaza.”

With his deeply pastoral and prophetic presence, Munther encourages the Global Church (especially the western church) to reclaim the saltiness of its salt, light & masala public witness.
