I don’t like saying I’m busy

Hi all!

I don’t like saying I’m busy. I usually avoid the word but today I can’t. The past weeks were, if anything, busy.

First, we launched the Listes Lijstjes book at Maison ABC, I was too nervous to remember to take pictures so here is the only proof it happened:

The next day I flew to Portugal, and set up with Nicolau our atelier/installation in Serralves. We were there for the museum’s festival, during the weekend. We had a room with 10 Drawing Stations, each proposing a different exercise. It was so fun see the kids (and parents) enjoying it!

It was also interesting to interact with the kids who were afraid of doing something wrong. Who didn’t want to make mistakes in an installation where mistakes were the expected result. Who didn’t want to draw unless they were able to do it well. It was a bit heartbreaking at times, but that just made our work seem even more important!

And after that, I sent signed copies of my book and did my taxes! (I have no photo proof of that, you have to trust me)

So, you see, it was busy. Now, I’m back in Belgium. My routine is all scrambled and it may take a few days to get used to sitting on my desk and focusing on one single thing. But I also have a few more events coming up!

Thursday:
With Litterbox, we are doing one of our monthly Writing Playground but this time it’s online! On Thursday, 19:00 Brussels time. More info here!

Saturday:
I’ll be doing a reading of Ouaf! — the French translation of Ão ão! — at Bimbi Books on Saturday (15h)! Come bark with us!
