As soon as I posted the Babylon 5 script “Sleeping in Light,” requests started coming in asking for a script from my stint as story editor on The Real Ghostbusters to be in the next salvo.
Never let it be said I don’t listen.
Since SiL represents the last regular episode of the show, I thought I’d go in the opposite direction and upload the very first script I wrote for TRGBs: “Knock, Knock.” There was a lot riding on this script because none of the producers had any solid proof to this point that I could write funny, and because I knew that this script would set the template for the whole show. I didn’t want it to be cute, wanted it to be actually pretty scary but with humor in sync with the movie (which I watched every week while I was working on the show to keep the voices of the characters alive in my head). Little did I know it would eventually become a fan favorite.
So here’s script number two for paid members; the next upload will be for all members, including free subscribers.
That said: just a reminder that within an hour of uploading a script, it splashes into the internet and now it’s all over the place. So there has to be a decent degree of paid subscribers to make that prospect acceptable. I’m letting matters proceed organically, but in the long term we’ll need at minimum 1,000 subs to continue doing this.
