Today is my birthday, August 19th. I turn 49, and I spent the afternoon reading for about three solid hours.
Easy and simple. And exactly what I prefer to do.
Finding long stretches of time to read can be difficult, but somehow I manage to carve them out. Today, I did.
This week, I’ve also spent a lot of hours in meetings for Realm Makers. Between Monday and this morning, we put in about 16 hours planning for the year ahead, including next year’s conference and expo. There are some changes on the horizon—good changes that I think will benefit everyone. More on those as we get closer.
On August 31st, I have a cover reveal happening for Book Five in my award-winning Iggy & Oz middle-grade series, and I could use some help spreading the word. If you’d be willing to help, filling out the form below would mean a lot. I’d be grateful.
And finally, this Friday I actually have a new book launching: How to Write Middle Grade. The book was originally serialized on my Substack, The Middle Grade Writer, well over a year ago. If you’re interested in writing middle grade, you can grab a copy.
For now, it will be available exclusively as a Kindle ebook.
So that’s 49: a good book, some exciting projects, and plenty to look forward to.
This week on Geeky Dads Read on YouTube I’m talking about three books I nearly DNF’d.
