The second powerful pathway to love is through our connection to Mother Earth. Mother Earth is God/Source’s finest creation. (Unfathomably deep statement.) She is a Spirit Being who holds all living beings in her light.

Pay attention to any thought pattern that blocks our experience of love.

God is the energy of love and creation. Nothing and no one can ever be outside of God, but… some energy operates in denial of God. Shadow energy. Shadow energy is the illusion; it is not real. It is a pretend game that we are all playing. The Buddhists call it the illusory darkness.

The purpose of shadow energy is to separate us from the light. Separate us from love, joy, peace, laughter, and equanimity. It replaces these with anger and fear. Anger itself rises from hurt and wounds mixed up with fear.

Shadow energy rides on fear. It is the main fuel of fear.

Melchizedek explains fear this way:

Fear is contagious. It operates that way. It seeks to replicate itself from one person to the next, as ideas are passed on and shared. When you see it coming at you, let it pass on. Don’t anoint it with meaning.

Fear shows up ONLY if and when we imagine an unpleasant future. But… the future is not real. The future never happens. It is always imaginary. We can just as easily imagine a pleasant future.

Ocean swimming is one of my life’s great joys. Almost every day, someone will say to me: “I would love to swim in the ocean, but I am too afraid.” They imagine that if they did dip into the big blue, they would be courting disaster. Fear turns us away from many opportunities to enjoy our lives.

Shadow energy also works through familiar thought patterns. It has designed, propagated, and spread various destructive thought patterns throughout time. These keep us small, fearful, and sometimes angry, separating us from the light of love.

Let’s look at some common thought playgrounds of shadow energy.

Perhaps the most pernicious thought pattern rides on feelings of unworthiness, especially the idea that we are not worthy of love.

One of my dear friends, Hope, feels unworthy of love. Hope is kind to the core, thoughtful, beautiful, talented, professionally successful—yet her toxic mom told her she was unlovable. Behind every difficult person is a sad story, and at its root, Hope’s mom felt equally unworthy of love. Both people’s lives are stunted.

While sitting with Hope, I often reach out, touch her hand, and say: Thousands of souls, right now, love you more than you can know. This powerful truth fills her eyes with tears and yearning as she tries to believe it.

For religious people, feelings of unworthiness ride on the nutty belief that God is judging who they are or what they’ve done—and finds them a total disappointment, unworthy of love. Guilt and shame follow, often becoming consuming and separating them from the light. Guilt and shame are both great conductors of shadow energy.

It might be news to some, but God/Source does not judge. (The idea of a God being sitting on a throne judging us is a serious distortion passed down through religious dogma.) God/Source is infinitely bigger than that.

God/Source knows ONLY love; is ONLY love.

The punishment of the sin is… the sin itself.

Take gluttony. Indulging in piles of food… is the punishment. It hurts us physically, mentally, and spiritually in the aftermath of the indulgence. No one needs a God to punish them for overeating.

It is the sin (whatever you imagine this is) that separates you—and this feeling of separation, however it shows up, is indeed punishment enough.

If you have any feelings of unworthiness of love, find The Book of Love and Creation. Open it to Chapter Seven. This one chapter connects you to a powerful manifestation of God/Source light that neatly dissolves this form of shadow energy.

Also, connect to your Guides. They will begin directing you to love. They will teach you that there are hundreds, even thousands, of souls who love you more than you know—who are indeed showering you in love right now, as you read these words.

👉 Three: Meet Your Spirit Guides

All thought patterns that present the idea of us vs. them—insisting we are somehow separate from each other, that one group of people is superior or inferior to another group for this or that ridiculous reason—is a serious wrong turn. These usually arrive in the form of an ISM: racism, sexism, ageism, antisemitism, even speciesism.

None of these beliefs or ideas are real. They are an illusion.

Shadow energy has fun with all ISMs. These dumb ideas land in minds and create even dumber beliefs that then become entrenched and hard to escape. Shadow energy thrills at the endless havoc brought by its ISMs.

Indeed, shadow energy’s three greatest triumphs:

• The billions upon billions of sentient beings treated like machines in factory farms and forced to live in unconscionable conditions

• All past and present forms of slavery

• The stickiness, tenaciousness, and ever-changing forms of antisemitism

The only reason to focus on the differences between human beings and indeed all living beings is to celebrate these differences.

Every human being and every animal on Earth is a unique facet of God/Source light. Maybe not all are exactly beautiful, but believe me, all are loved.
