Over the past two weeks, we built the foundation for Primal Optimizers:
Week 1: The 60-second BPM Reset—the daily on-switch for re-patterning your hardware and software.
Week 2: The Basic Seated JPM Routine—the first active step in remodeling your architecture and nervous system under constraint.
Today, we complete the circuit with the Basic Standing JPM Routine.
This is where the Jing Palace Method reveals itself as the ultimate universal optimizer: it fundamentally re-patterns your entire organism so that every other exercise, sport, and daily activity becomes dramatically more efficient and powerful.
Use a light medicine ball, a volleyball, or start completely weightless and simply imagine an object loaded on your head. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart.
1. Setup – Find the Singularity of Verticality
Place the ball on the apex of your crown.
Raise your arms straight overhead, elbows extended, hands securing the load.
Release fully for 2 to 3 Daoist purging breaths (mouth wide open, lips relaxed, jaw unhinged) to settle and feel the vertical column stack itself naturally against gravity.
2. Standing Neck Flexion – The 1-mm Chin Tuck & Tissue Roll
Slowly tuck your chin toward your chest, letting the ball roll slightly toward the back of your head. Keep your arms raised most of the time, and lowering one arm at a time as needed to relax any tension that builds in the shoulders.
Do 2 to 3 purging breaths here.
The Clinical Upgrade: On the next exhale, push the ball upward by about one millimeter and hold the gentle isometric tension.
3. Standing Neck Extension – “Third Eye to the Sky” & Forward Roll
Slowly lift your chin and extend your neck backward, letting the ball roll forward onto your forehead. Keep the arms raised. THIS POSITION MAY CAUSE SOME DULL PAIN IN THE NECK…That is because you have probably never done it, especially while loaded, so build up slowly and take lots of rest as needed!
Do 2 to 3 purging breaths here; again push the ball upward on each exhale by about one millimeter and hold the isometric tension.
Return to the neutral Wuji Base posture. Repeat the cycle continuously. Most people start with 5 minutes and comfortably build to 10.
In the standing position, the Crown Constraint forces a complete biological integration. You cannot cheat gravity, and you cannot hide from the physics.
Hardware Re-patterning: You achieve deep tissue engagement with zero lumbar shear. You trigger spinal disc hydration, cranial remodeling, fascial un-gluing, and massive airway expansion.
Software Re-patterning: You eradicate proprioceptive dead zones, calibrate the vestibular-collic reflex, down-regulate sympathetic overdrive, and turn the Crown Constraint into your ultimate biological lie detector.
The result is a structure that is harder to break—and an operating system that makes every other movement infinitely better. You will experience deeper squats, stronger traditional lifts, and more effortless daily locomotion.
Perform the Basic Standing JPM Routine 3 to 5+ times this week.
Keep it gentle. 5 minutes is plenty to start; feel free to do as much time as you feel guided to do by your Inner Doctor.
Focus on the internal shift. Pay attention to the distinct feeling of your entire organism being re-patterned and self-organized under load.
This three-week Primal Optimizer series is now complete. You have the BPM Reset, the Basic Seated Routine, and the Basic Standing Routine—the complete daily system that turns JPM into the ultimate universal optimizer for your life.
Next week, we move into Block 7 and address a brand-new audience. But for now, keep cycling through these three tools. They are your new primal operating system.
