Dear readers

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways! February has been a roller coaster of a month (see graphs below) but I am so grateful for each sale and page read, and for each interaction on one of my social media posts. Your support truly keeps me going on book 4. Because I love you all so much here’s a little snippet that I wrote yesterday (with the caveat that book 4 is still a work in progress and this may or may not stay the same for the final version)

ALM 4!! I cannot wait to share the title, but I’m saving THAT as a reward to myself for finishing the first draft, so you’ll have to wait a little longer. I crossed the 67,000 word mark, so things are really starting to come together for Stella’s current predicament…
Last month I reached out to my amazing editor and cover designer about timing and if I can keep up this pace, this book will come out THIS YEAR!!! I’m tentatively aiming for late fall, but you’ll all be the first to know!

My main focus now is writing, but I’m still reading Monster Sitter and still loving every page!
Otherwise my main reading is all researching magic and locations and (SPOILER) for book 4.

I have THREE in-person events scheduled (so far) for 2026. My first one is coming up in just a couple weeks! If you’re in the greater Seattle area, stop by the Kent Book & Art Festival. There’s no entrance fee…and I’ve heard there might be cookies!

February’s numbers were pretty similar to January, thankfully. The biggest surprise to me was how much my Kindle Unlimited page reads fell off for the USA and how Australia really picked up the slack! I also did pretty well in Canada and the UK. So, thank you and hello to any new readers I have from around the world. (since I’m writing this on February 27, these numbers don’t account for any I might get on February 28)
Marketing is far and away the most difficult part of this job for me and clearly my new ad is not working for those in the USA. I need to fiddle with my image or maybe my messaging…or maybe none of it? I HAVE NO IDEA! But I’ve got a few things to try so we’ll see how things work out in the spring.
