JRNY is looking for a UK-based writer to represent them on a group press trip to Seattle between 8 and 12 September 2026, arriving back in the UK on Sunday 13 September. Flights (with Alaska Airlines), accommodation, meals and activities will be covered. Itinerary highlights include:
Take to the skies with Kenmore Air on a scenic seaplane flight to the San Juan Islands, followed by a guided coastal kayak and waterfront lunch.
Discover Mount Rainier National Park on a full-day adventure through alpine meadows, waterfalls and ancient forests beneath Washington’s iconic snow-capped peak.
Experience a Seattle Mariners game and soak up the atmosphere at T-Mobile Park.
Stay at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, including an exclusive behind-the-scenes property tour, rooftop beehive experience, honey-infused cocktails and an oyster-shucking demonstration at Shuckers Oyster Bar.
Discover the flavours of the Pacific Northwest at Pike Place Market and through dining experiences showcasing the region’s seasonal produce and renowned seafood.
You will be required to write a 600-word first-person feature after the trip (fee £120). Angle can be confirmed after you have returned from the trip. Copy will need to be filed within 3 weeks after arrival back in the UK.
Please note that you must be based in the UK and be able to get an ESTA (or have a media visa already) and be free to travel on those exact dates.
