I like to put together these little round-ups of the things I bring back home after I travel, from Paris to Italy and London. They can serve to highlight some of my favorite stores and mementos from a place. I wasn’t in Nantucket very long so this certainly isn’t a comprehensive list of all the things I could have and would have wanted to bring back with me, but this is what I picked up in my short time on the island:
1. The ACK Sack
I’m such a sucker for trompe l’oeil and this bag is one of the most clever iterations I have seen. These plastic bags, printed with a photo of a lightship basket by the iconic designer José Formoso Reyes on all four sides, are adorable, whimsical, and chic. I picked mine up at For Now, our partner for our custom embroidery event. Sales of each bag benefit the Nantucket Historical Association.
2. Tulip Tea Lights
I bought these beautiful tulip tea lights, made outside Prague, and sold at artful Nantucket shop Atlantic, as gifts. I love how special they are. I chose a different color of the rainbow for each recipient.
3. Nantucket Needlepoint Whale
I put a picture of the Erica Wilson whale ornament on my Nantucket moodboard when we started concepting for our pop-up many months ago. My coworker admired it so when I saw the whale canvas in their lovely needlepoint shop, I had to snag one. I quickly stitched it up before gifting because she has a baby and doesn’t have tons of time to needlepoint herself.
4. Vintage Linens
I had been told in advance about Hospital Thrift on the island and that there might be a line to get in. I got to the shop 4 minutes after they opened and there was a huge line out front! Thankfully, it actually ended up moving quickly. I saw two lovely upholstered ottomans I wanted for $25 each (!) but the logistics of getting them home seemed difficult. Instead, I picked up 9 perfect embroidered vintage napkins with delicate crochet trim for only $10 (similar here — but a bit more expensive!)
5. Crispy T-Shirt
We call my older son Crispie because when he came home from the hospital (his twin sister was still in the NICU), my mom thought he looked like a “little Rice Krispie” all swaddled up. So when I saw the t-shirts at Nantucket Crisps, I knew I had to get one even though the spelling is different.
The shop for the famous Nantucket potato chips is so cute! Their tins are made to look like woven baskets. And the shop has the most darling curtains and wallpaper in matching “woven” textiles. I truly wish this interior fabric was available for sale because I would love to use it in my own home.
P.S. this shop is also home to one of the cutest puppies ever!
6. ACK Dina
Of course I brought home my ACK Dina! These bags were such a hit and we got so many requests for them from afar that we put a few of them up for sale on our site. They sold out so quickly. Even without the ACK embroidery, Dina is truly the best travel bag with so many amazing interior organization pockets.
7. Needlepoint Basket
I had been wanting to get this Erica Wilson basket that you can needlepoint in a custom motif as soon as I saw it! Now that it is in my possession, I am having an existential crisis trying to figure out what to needlepoint on it. It feels like a big, permanent decision. Any ideas for me?
8. The Perfect Paint-Splattered Hat
The girls at The Perfect gifted me this hand splattered beach hat that I love! It has that amazing soft elastic on the inside that helps to hold it onto my head.
And What I Wore:
A few of my most worn items during my trip include:
This embroidered long sleeve (perfect for the changing weather!)
This rain coat, new in polka dots! It rained and misted a lot while we were there which was surprisingly great for sales. People like to shop when it’s raining in Nantucket!
This jacket I’ve mentioned before that has the most genius pocket sizes and placement. Like a handbag as a jacket! All in nautical stripes.
La Veste striped pants because they are wow and supremely comfy.
I wore these giant bow flats to two events in Nantucket.
This was the pair of shoes I wore the most, so soft and comfy on those cobblestone streets. New in white which is such a trend at the moment.

More Pop-Up Details
A few more details from our pop-up since this lovely audience seemed to really enjoy seeing all the special elements we created for our events.
Hands-down the detail that got the most love in my DMs was these custom coffee cups with a doily around them. They were so fun and so on-brand (felt like a coffee cup wearing one of our blouses!)
We also had our embroidery event with For Now. I loved the maximalist way my coworker Kate got her Dina embroidered:

I can’t say enough about how much fun we had in Nantucket. Any suggestions of where we should we pop up next?
Five Things I’m Loving This Week
1. I loved the local teens we hired to help us at the pop-up. They had the coolest, most effortless style. I’m so excited to hopefully work with them again if we are able to come back next year.
2. This blouse I picked up at Warm in Amagansett
3. These clever pants seamed with vintage quilt panels on a woman named Susan that I met at the airport. I’m not sure of the brand — can anyone ID them?
4. Everyone keeps recommending this book to me. But I don’t love fiction. Have you read it?
4. This embroidery that matches the gingham it’s embroidered on blew me away. Is it AI? I’m not sure. Whatever it is it is so insanely cool!
And One Thing I Hate:
When you buy a super expensive hand wash or giant bottle of shampoo and the pump doesn’t work. Grrrrrrrrr!!!
