Jessica Bippen · NOURISHED.

It’s August my loves…and to that I say, how? The hot summer days are at their peak so naturally August has a way of inviting us to slow down. Think about it…the days are still hot, gardens are full, and golden evenings linger just a little longer inviting us to step out side and sit on the porch and soak it all in. But the opposite tends to happen. As summer winds now, calendars begin to fill, routines return, and life naturally asks for more.

So this month is about creating steady rhythms that help you feel supported through that transition. I know I can’t clear your calendars or make you any less busy but I can sprinkle in little reminders to slow down where you can without pressing pause on your life. Things like, preparing simple meals, soaking up the late-summer light, and making time for the people you love. These things when done with intention are often the habits that leave the biggest impact.

Inside, you’ll find your mood board, seasonal routine shifts, grounding checklist, podcast lineup, and intention to help you move through August with intention.

This month’s energy: intentional, balanced, and steady.

Think blackberries picked at their sweetest, honey drizzled over breakfast, fresh herbs on the kitchen counter, evenings spent outside, books in the backyard, and meals shared with the people you love.

Let August be a reminder that wellness doesn’t always come from doing more. Sometimes it comes from preparing ahead, embracing what’s in season, and creating routines that leave more room for presence, connection, and rest (even when your schedule is packed).

Small habits become meaningful when they reflect the season you’re living in.

This month’s checklist is filled with simple ways to enjoy late summer without making it feel like more to add to the to-do list. Prep fresh produce, savor seasonal flavors, take your meals outdoors, pause with a few deep breaths, and make time for the people and moments that matter most.

You don’t need to check off every box. Let these ideas inspire small choices that help you feel more prepared, more present, and more connected throughout the month.

As you start to feel the pace of your days and schedule shift, remember that your wellness habits don’t have to become more complicated. In fact, this is often the perfect time to simplify them.

Build your days around what this season naturally offers. Fill your kitchen with colorful produce, keep nourishing staples on hand, take advantage of the lingering evening light, and create small rituals that help you transition through busy days with more ease.

These gentle shifts are designed to help your routines feel supportive, sustainable, and easy to return to, even when life gets full.

The conversations we listen to often shape the way we move through our days.

This month’s podcast lineup is filled with thoughtful conversations around hormones, boundaries, nourishment, mindset, and building habits that support your future self. Save one for your next walk, meal prep session, or quiet morning and let it become part of your August rhythm.

The beauty of this season isn’t found in doing everything. It’s found in creating enough space to notice what’s already here.

My hope is thats this month your routines support your wellbeing and your days feel full in all the best ways.

"I create steady rhythms that allow me to be fully present for the people and moments that matter most."

xx, Jess
