This Week: Food Pantry Drive & Open Coffee Club

Hey All 👋,

We will be gathering food/supplies to donate to Matawan United Methodist Church’s Food Pantry. Thank you John Kaczala for leading the coordination.

We’ll be collecting at this week’s Open Coffee Club and December events (soon to be scheduled).

Below is a list of requests and items to donate. Thank you! Please reach out to us if you’d like to coordinate a drop-off or have any questions/suggestions/etc.

• no glass containers

• items like soap, deodorant, toiletries, and essential personal hygiene products are very much needed

• things that can cook easily maybe only using a microwave or hotplate are needed

• the pantry has received Thanksgiving related items already (thank you) and would appreciate other considerations

• whenever possible, please select low sodium and low sugar items when choosing your non-perishable food donations.

• cold cereal (Toasted O’s, Special K, Bran Flakes, Fiber One, Cascadian Farms, Kashi, Grape-Nuts, Corn Flakes)

• oatmeal in individual packets

• apple sauce

• canned fruit

• canned beans: black, kidney, baked, cannellini, pinto

• canned soup: chicken, vegetable, tomato

• canned meals: spaghetti, ravioli, chili

• canned chicken

• canned tuna

• canned vegetables

• canned fruit (in 100% juice)

• canned meat

• pasta (any shape, not spaghetti)

• peanut butter

• shelf stable almond or oat milk (unflavored, unsweetened)

• instant or shelf-stable cooked rice or pasta

• shelf-stable microwaveable meals

• shelf-stable 100% juice (8oz containers, preferred)

• shelf-stable milk (8oz containers, preferred)

• crackers

• protein bars

• granola bars

• diapers

• wipes

• baby shampoo/soap

• baby formula

• baby food

• diaper cream

• toothbrushes

• toothpaste

• deodorant

• shampoo

• body wash

• feminine hygiene products (pads, tampons, liners)

• dish soap (smaller sizes)

• laundry detergent

• baby diapers

• baby wipes

• adult diapers

• shaving cream
