Hello 👋

I’m back with news that my Marlowe cardigan is now free to view on my blog 🎉

Marlowe is a lightweight crochet cardigan pattern that I designed for easy summer layering.

Worked in one piece with no shaping, the combination of filet squares and open treble mesh creates a breathable fabric that’s comfortable to wear on warmer days while still giving a little extra coverage.

With short sleeves, a relaxed fit, and simple repeating stitches, it’s a wonderfully relaxing project. I hope you like this one! ☀️🧶💙

To celebrate, I’m running a promotion via Ravelry (free PDF).

How the Free PDF Download Works

The promotion for my Marlowe cardigan is running from today for the first 75 downloads. Once the 75 patterns have been claimed, the code will no longer work.

You’ll need to visit the pattern on my blog (link below) and once on the pattern, click on the image that says ‘Free Ravelry Download Click here to Redeem the Code.’ You’ll be taken to ‘Redeem a Coupon Code’ on Ravelry. Click ‘use this coupon’ to be taken to the shopping basket on Ravelry. Click ‘check out now’ and the pattern will be in your library. Don’t check out unless it is showing zero!

Clicking on the link below will take you to the pattern on my blog.

Also focusing on the warmer weather is the All Summer blog hop starting next month.

This hop is hosted by Sandra Stitches and is running from 1st – 15th June 2026.

Each day a pattern will be released with either a direct download of the free PDF or a coupon code.

In this hop there’s a mixture of patterns! Amigurumi, wearables, accessories. I think you’ll like this one.

I’m taking part 😊 My day is 13th June.

I’ll be in touch when I have more information (the event page link) and I’ll share a reminder when it’s my day.

I’ll be back 29th May when my Lily Top publishes (currently only available in my Etsy shop)

June

  • 13th June – It’s my day on the All Summer blog hop. It’s a new pattern you haven’t seen before.

  • 26th June - summer top (same stitch pattern as the Marlowe cardigan above but instead of a solid colour, lots of colours 😊)

  • Poncho – need to create the neckline

  • Short Sleeve Cardigan – need to sew seams

  • Granny square shrug/cocoon – need to sew the 6 dc and mesh squares together and seam

  • Scarf (dc2tog mesh) – need to sew in ends

That’s the summer makes for this year 😊

Are you crocheting for summer? I’d love to see what you’re working on. You can easily share in the Facebook group and your project doesn’t have to be one of my patterns!

  • Marlowe Blanket

  • Block/Brick Stitch Blanket

  • Mosaic Cross Body Bag

  • Mosaic scarf

  • Chunky Knit Look Cardigan

  • Winter Sweater

Clover Update:

Well, zoomies are few and far between now – hurrah! He’s still exploring the environment with his mouth but not as much and hardly any dandelion’s now (he tried them when they went to seed and decided he didn’t like the texture hahaha). He loves going out in the rain (although the same can’t be said for his humans 😊) and baths and even goes into the river without any prompts. This little pup is growing up (he’s 6 ½ months now).

We’re working on recall (any tips?) and although let him off the lead in the dog park, not confident enough to trust that he wouldn’t get distracted and go off anywhere else. We have a common on our doorstep but it’s split in two by quite a busy road …

Don’t forget to let me know if there are any patterns you’d love to work on in 2026 and if there are any roundups of patterns you’d be interested in.

Happy crocheting

Shaz 🌸
