After nine years of drawing my daily comic strip Dunce, breaking free from the constraints of four small panels into the expansive format of a children’s book was incredibly liberating. Here are some spreads from my first children’s book, created in 2025 with author Ragnhild Holmås. We crafted an energetic and amusing book on a topic that greatly concerns children: the issue of always having to share equally. I can’t show all the spreads here, but it’s a hysterically funny book brimming with energy, pace, and artistic joy from start to finish. This explosive departure from the restrictive strip format was truly a dream project for me.
