I’m on vacation-ish in the North Woods of Wisconsin with my guy’s family and excited to head to Madison, Wisconsin for the first time this Friday — a city that has become a flashpoint for activism and protest today. (Read: Wisconsin Watch. “Hundreds protest after police officer fatally shoots man on Madison’s east side”)
This week you will hear from Carolina O. of Minnesota’s incredible immigrant rights organization COPAL MN. We met up for lunch at El Taco Real in the Minneapolis suburb of Richfield — a city dense with immigrants who were targeted by I.C.E. during Operation Metro Surge in the Twin Cities during this past winter season.

Jenny Yang is a standup comedian, actor, and tv writer who was named one of Variety’s Top Ten Comics to Watch and has been featured at Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, the San Francisco Sketch Festival, and Netflix is a Joke Festival.
Jenny is a former labor organizer who was born in Taiwan and raised in Los Angeles, and stars opposite Michelle Yeoh as an assassin in the Netflix action comedy-drama series, The Brothers Sun.
