I need to get over myself. I need to get the fuck over myself. All the whining and complaining and wishing I was somewhere else doing something else as if all ventures aren’t exactly the same—lessons in presence or lack thereof. The discomfort is the point. Without discomfort there is nothing to overcome and without anything to overcome, there’s no juice. There’s no fire. No reason to fight. No reason to scream. No way to uncover the great paradox of being. How beautiful it is to be a salmon swimming up stream. How lucky I am to be ravaged by the bear that is life. Or at least, it makes a good story.
