Everyone loved Dolly Parton.
Dolly was a legendary songwriter and performer, but her real magic was her kindness and philanthropy.
Dolly famously said “I think it’s important for everyone to do their share to help their fellow man.”
Dolly Parton gave to multiple causes.
Dolly provided over 330 million books through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library . Books are given free of charge to inspire the love of reading.
In 2016 after fires in Tennessee she set up a 12 million dollar fund to provide fire victims in Sevier County $1000 a month for 6 months with no strings attached to give me “a hand up” to get back on their feet.
During covid she gave a million dollars to help with the reserach of the Moderna vaccine.
After Hurricane Helene she dontated a million dollars to help victims, and there are countless other charities and people she has personnally helped.
As the world mourns the loss of Dolly Parton I think a great way to honor her is to be kind, and smile at a stranger.
