As far back as I can remember my parents took us to the Oregon Coast for summer vacation. My father owned a painting business and I remember my parents talking about lot of the struggles of paying employees and collecting from contractors and so, our family vacations to the coast were the best my parents could do. Which to me was wonderful because living in Idaho, it was the only time I saw the ocean!
