You'd Better Do Something Quick

Jenna Curacoa · In The Catacombs

For the past near three years volunteering and an additional couple years living at a couple shelters, I’m ready to reveal my findings. Deep research, if you will. Me rogue going at it on my own.

Unbiased to an extent. I was on the side of the homeless/unhoused, drug addicted indvidual. I was rooting for them in their cause. We need to help for the sake of helping.

The lines and boundaries did get blurred at times. I don’t know why I was on the search for “post apocalyptic warlord type guy” or what have you. A partnership. Very idealistic.

Even if by chance or accident or stroke of bad luck, if you will, many of them are out there for a reason, and dare I even say-deserve it (some).

Why bother to even help, then? Some need, will work the programs and will even improve, graduate and do well.

But I feel even more stronger that if we do not belp, and do not do so quickly, hell, in all fact, will break loose on our streets and in our communities.

We must help and utterly do something at all costs, like yesterday.

When the scales tip and the chain of supply crumbles, The Book of Eli will become a daily reality. It does not have to be that way everywhere for everyone.

But consider: the area I’m living in, There’s been a severly broken and flawed criminal justic system that has hurt many people for a long time. The scales are tipping in their favor.

You don’t like the homeless and drug addicted? Many are the results of this broken system that many people have looked down upon and ignored.

There’s a breaking point, folks. The dams about to burst…So. Again.

We must help and utterly do something at all costs. If we do not, and do not do so quickly, hell in all fact, will break loose.

Stay tuned for more, cuase Lord knows there’s a lot more to say on this subject
