The fab folks at NashYarnFest were so supportive about me bringing my rescue bears (and ONE cheeky pink monkey) to the festival when I gave a concert for them back in April. All of these furry friends found homes! How wonderful for these bears and how wonderful for planet earth because these adventurers didn’t end up in landfill! Because even though our message is cute it’s also darn serious.
So, I thought I would bring my little band of rescue bears and dolls to another real life event! If you’re in Nashville on June 12 and 13th, I hope you can come. Wherever you may be, you can read all about my Jeniland Doll & Bear Hospital and Rescue Days below or by visiting my website.
June song of the month to come later in June!
All the best from me, always,
Jeni
Have you ever had a stuffed animal that became too fragile to hug? Has your American Girl doll become floppy? Does your Barbie’s hair look like she’s been out all night at a punk concert? Did your bear’s paw look like a snack to your puppy? Or is your childhood toy looking a bit sad and worn?
Don’t Despair. Repair!
Your doll and bear friends can find help at the Jeniland Doll & Bear Hospital!
Your friends are special portals to memories and vessels of love.
Let’s celebrate them through kind mending and gentle cleaning.
I’m a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs and the Doll Club of Great Britain and I’ve been looking after bears and dolls for a few years now! I’ll be making on-the-spot repairs of dolls and bears at Porter Flea Summer Market on June 12th & 13th and at Experimart at the Factory at Franklin on July 18th.
I’ll also be bringing along a sweet group of newly repaired and refreshed patients who are excited to be adopted and to find further adventures. These dolls and bears came from last chance rodeos like sidewalks, thrift stores, and the actual trash where they just didn’t belong. They’ve had a thorough spa treatment and been mended and fluffed to their absolute fluffiest. Doll hair tamed and styled, bear fur brushed to ultimate softness.
My rescue bears sold out at NashYarnFest, so come early to find a friend!
Bring your beloved doll or plushie to Porter Flea on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13. Minor mends, gentle doll hair help, and consultations are free. Adoptable bears and dolls will be offered at kind prices. More major repairs and extended spa treatments can be booked by arrangement.
Keep our sweet dolly and plush friends out of landfill and let them bring joy for years to come!
P.S. Can’t come in person? Feel free to get in touch with me about your doll, plushie, or toy mending concerns.
P.S. My friends at Experimart are having a huge Grand Hurrah event at the Factory at Franklin on June 20th! I’ll be there to help out. As they said in their recent newsflash: “You’ll have the scintillating yet fleeting chance to see the latest exhibitions currently on offer at the provisional Experimart location and have the extra ordinary opportunity to be the first to become members of the Experimental Club of Experimart by completing a series of interactive activities onsite.”

I’ll also be joining the folks at Experimart on Saturday the 18th of July at the Factory at Franklin for another in-person on-the-spot bear and doll spa and mending event!
I hope to offer adoptable friends online after the event on June 13th, so stay tuned if you’re not in Nashville.
