Real estate is very much a work hard, play hard business.
Most days feel like go, go, go—from the moment we wake up until our heads hit the pillow.
Lately, something unexpected has been helping me slow down.
A fox has been showing up in my yard.
Most mornings, he wanders through looking for a treat. He’s become part of my routine—and honestly, part of my joy.
When I see him, everything stops for a moment.
I pause.
I breathe.
I smile.
It’s a simple thing, but it reminds me how important it is to step out of the constant motion, even briefly. That short pause helps reset my mindset for the rest of the day.
As real estate agents, we’re wired to always be “on.” Calls, texts, appointments, negotiations, social media—it never really ends. But I’ve learned that finding small moments of calm during the day doesn’t slow us down… it actually makes us better.
Clearer.
More present.
More grounded.
Those moments might look different for everyone—a walk, music, a quiet cup of coffee, time with a pet, or even just stepping outside for a minute.
This idea of pausing, reflecting, and being intentional is also at the heart of what we talk about at the Wealth Agent Institute. It’s not about doing more just to stay busy—it’s about doing work that’s meaningful, thoughtful, and rooted in long-term impact for the people we serve. When we take the time to slow down and think differently, it opens the door to more meaningful conversations with clients—especially around real estate investing and how it can help create a more secure, predictable, and brighter future for them. Those conversations aren’t rushed or transactional; they’re thoughtful, educational, and truly impactful.
When we slow down enough to think differently, we show up differently—for our clients, our businesses, and ourselves.
So wherever you are today, I hope you find your own “fox moment.”
Just a small pause that reminds you why you love what you do.
Wishing you a great day ahead,
Jeff Sibel, Real Estate Broker
