In Memory of My Beloved Cat, Buster

Dear friends -

I wanted to create a short post in honor of my beloved cat, Buster, who transitioned out of his body yesterday, August 11, 2026, around 5:30pm.

Buster was diagnosed with “feline leukemia virus” about 5 weeks ago.

Since I don’t believe in “viruses”, I really don’t know what was wrong with Buster, but he did have a VERY rough start in life and this problem may have been with him the whole time.

He was only 2 years old when he passed.

He struggled for survival for the last five weeks of his life and then finally let go yesterday, to return to a place where there is no more pain and suffering.

I’m glad that he is free but I am going to miss him so, so much.

I found Buster and his mom and 4 other siblings in May of 2024, when Buster was about 3 weeks old.

All 5 kittens, along with the mama, were very, very sick when I found them.

I rushed them to a vet knowing fully well they were suffering from “feline upper respiratory infection” since I’ve worked with cats for over 20 years and recognized the symptoms.

The antibiotics given to me by the vet did nothing to help any of them and in fact, I think the injection given to the mother contributed to her death.

She died 2 days after I found them.

This particular infection really affects the eyes of the kitten and their eyes literally pop out of their heads and cause blindness.

That is why Buster only had one eye.

With a huge amount of love, and a ton of organic holistic care including herbs and other non-toxic remedies, he grew into a beautiful cat.

And yet, he had a very short life, which is so so sad.

He was such a loving cat.

So gentle and sweet.

I am very sad that he will not be here in physical form with me any longer.

Please send blessings and love to my beloved Buster and pray that he is now in the hands of love where there is no pain or suffering, but only ease and nurturing care.
