Creative momentum, community, and new opportunities

Dear Friends and Collectors,

As autumn deepens and gets way too chilly way too quickly, I’m grateful for a season filled with creative momentum, community, and new opportunities to share my work. Look for me tucked under several layers of clothes at a few new exhibitions across North Carolina. I am also excited to share new developments at VAE, where my fellow co-director Pete Sack and I continue to grow and expand the mission of supporting artists at every stage of their practice.

September 28 – November 16
CAM Raleigh, Raleigh, NC

The Raleigh Fine Arts Exhibition celebrates a wide range of artistic voices from across the region. With over 700 entries, I was thrilled to learn that my work was juried into this exhibition by Ian Gabriel Wilson, the curator of exhibitions and collections with the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum. My featured work reflects my ongoing exploration of materiality and balance. The show is on view at CAM Raleigh through November 16.

October 24 – November 22
Wilmington, NC

At New Elements Gallery, my newest series continues to examine structure, repair, and transformation. The work centers itself in place and evokes themes of water and shore. The exhibition runs through November 22 in downtown Wilmington.

October 17 – November 30
Truist Gallery, Durham, NC

The Ladies Auxiliary, curated by Erin Ives and Allison Coleman at Truist Gallery, celebrates the creative power and vision of women artists across the Southeast. Highlighting both local and regional talent, this exhibition honors the strength, diversity, and innovation of women’s artistic voices. At its core, the project is devoted to amplifying feminist perspectives, advocating for gender equality, and confronting the historical narratives that have too often overlooked or minimized women’s contributions to art and culture. I’m thrilled to share work in an exhibition that thoughtfully reflects our collective experiences.

This year, I was honored to be asked to donate a piece to Art Bash 2025 at Artspace. Looking at the list of artists asked to contribute, I am truly in the most talented group of creatives. And as far as the ask to donate, I truly believe in Artspace’s mission and goals of supporting artists and expanding access to the arts across North Carolina, and am happy to contribute.

You are invited: Join us on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 6 - 10 PM for a spectacular evening celebrating the breadth of art and artists in our state. Art Bash features gallery exhibitions, private and live collecting opportunities, immersive art experiences, gourmet bites, and a curated live art auction.

This event not only celebrates creativity but also helps sustain Artspace’s programs that nurture artists and connect our communities through art. It’s an evening you won’t want to miss.

As many of you know, I continue my work with VAE (Visual Art Exchange) in Raleigh, and there is much to celebrate this season.

We have just launched new membership tiers to better support artists, collectors, and arts advocates. These new options are designed to make it easier for everyone to engage with our programs, exhibitions, and growing network of creatives.

Next month, we’re excited to open two new exhibitions that continue our mission of showcasing artists and fostering meaningful dialogue through art.
