I’ve been writing on my blog for over two years, creating guides, explainers, and documenting projects focused on AI, data analysis, math, and computer science. This newsletter was a way for me to try something different: news, information, and reporting-style content.
I also wanted to challenge myself to stick to a strict publishing schedule, something I’ve never managed before, and post a new issue on the same day every week.
What I learned from the process is that it just isn’t for me. I stand behind the value of what I’ve written, but news aggregation and reporting just isn’t the sort of content I want to produce. I also found the tight turnaround restrictive and unenjoyable.
I’ve been taking a bit of a break from writing and using this time to decide what exactly I want to do with the newsletter. Looking back at the past two years of posts, the ones I’ve enjoyed most and am most proud of are the practical projects I’ve worked on and written about.
I want to thank everyone who has followed along with this newsletter; I really appreciate you, and I hope you’ve found it valuable.
Here’s my plan going forward:
Instead of running a newsletter alongside my blog, I’ve decided to combine them into a single email list that will share my blog posts as they go live.
I’m going to focus less on generative AI and technology news and more on computer science, algorithms, and data.
I’m also going to share occasional off-topic projects and essays.
