M7 Health closed a $10 million Series A. The round was led by Threshold Ventures with participation from First Round Capital, Lakehouse Ventures, and 25m Health. M7 Health, which now serves more than 60 hospitals and thousands of nurses, is an end-to-end platform making nurse scheduling, staffing, and communication seamless and fair.

Sorcero, an agentic AI platform for life sciences, has secured $42.5 million in Series B funding. New investors include NewSpring Growth, Leawood Venture Capital, and Blu Ventures. This latest round will allow Sorcero to accelerate its expansion across medical affairs, safety, scientific communications, and medical device segments globally and continue scaling its platform for a medical-insights driven engagement model.

Fit Collective closed a £3M pre-seed round, with investors including January Ventures, AlbionVC, SuperSeed, True Global Ventures, and Sie Ventures. Acting as a co-pilot to brands, the software analyzes returns, fabric behavior and sales data before garments are made.

Pano AI was named to TIME’s list of the 100 most influential companies of 2025. Recognized among innovators and leaders like Le Creuset, Nintendo, and Waymo, Pano AI earned its spot on the list for its network of cameras, satellite imagery, and AI algorithms that enables it to alert municipalities to fires. To select this year’s TIME100 List, editors of the magazine looked at a “mosaic of qualities” like impact, ambition, and success and how that shaped the companies shaping the world.

Kinside was acquired by UrbanSitter. The Kinside team built the most advanced daycare and preschool marketplace, unlocking real value for working families and the employers who support them. Now a part of UrbanSitter, an online hub connecting families with babysitters through social networks, this acquisition will allow for families to find any kind of care in one trusted, centralized platform. Kinside was one of January Ventures’ earliest investments, and we’ve loved being a part of their journey.

Lauren Dunford, Guidewheel Founder and CEO, delivered a TED Talk at the flagship TED2025 #HumanityReimagined Conference in Vancouver. Lauren shared customer stories and insight into the manufacturing sector as the conference attendees and speakers were tasked with asking: what are humans for?

Looking forward to 2026

We are currently fielding the 7th Annual January Ventures Founder Survey:

For the 7th year running, January Ventures is fielding our Founder Sentiment Survey, and we need YOUR voice.

Our goal in conducting this survey each year is to bring transparency to company building and the founder journey at the earliest stage. This year’s research has never been more important as founders face new challenges– including the rise of AI–and we want to understand how founders are building their companies in this moment.

Having conducted this research for seven years means that we are able to draw on a deep well of founder insights over time. This year’s data adds to a chorus of previous research that can surface important changes and challenges year-on-year.
