I used to be a big Rachel Hollis fan. She’s the author of Girl, Wash Your Face. I bet you’ve read it too.
One of the strategies she shared was writing your goals in the present tense in your journal every day.
Rachel Hollis told me to do it, so I did it.
Every day, I wrote my intentions in the present tense. About five or six of them.
One of them was:
I make $10K a month.
I did this for years, long before I made $10K.
That was the number I saw as success.
That was the goal. Initially, the biggest goal.
For years, I wrote it and nothing happened.
Eventually, it did.
And I moved the number up to $20K and $30K+ months too.
But when I look back, it wasn’t one funnel, one launch, or one perfect strategy that changed the business.
It was a bunch of decisions that changed how I worked, what I tolerated, and what I believed was possible.
Some of them looked like business decisions.
Some of them looked like firing a client, watching more TV, and finally paying the coach I had muted because her success was triggering me.
These are the eight decisions that changed my business more than any strategy did.
Proof that the shift you need probably won’t come from a new funnel.
