tokens are not defensible

if claude/llm can do it - you shouldn’t

at least - your doing it will be indefensible

and i think thats an interesting lens to have on what work to do

part of why I decided years ago to commit to Ârc - now - was that this endeavour felt like a very last bastion of human endeavour

if we aren’t even the ones building new states and societies for humans - it felt unlikely we would still be building SaaS

so if what claude does isn’t defensible it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use claude

but the % of your team’s work that is done in claude is probably representative of how hard and how lasting the work you are doing will be

and how defensible it is

things in the real world - like popups and city building - squarely fall in this category

in time robotics will take this work too - but there is a 5-10 year window to win and build defensible moats in the real world over this period

after that, i think defensible things become even harder

i think it will ultimately come down to things that only you can build

because it’s about you

you as a brand, as an artist, as a representation of a set of values.
