Okay okay, I’m renaming this to “Occasional Lee” not “Week Lee” because… it’s not weekly!
Posts have been a little light due to all the ongoing Coursera work in my spare time (Cybersecurity, UX Design), normal posting frequency should resume in a few more weeks.
In early April, I reviewed 3 Android games (Pawnbarian, ShakaShaka, and DiceTycoon).
In late April, I reviewed 3 more! Office Cat, Close Cities, and Knotwords, with Office Cat being my favourite.
I finished Google’s lengthy cybersecurity qualification (certificate), so wrote a very detailed review for any potential students. I’m now around 2/3rds through my next goal, UX Design Professional qualification.
I also went through Postman’s much shorter API Fundamental Student Expert qualification, and reviewed that too.
Finally, the Reddit app added achievements, so I wrote a guide to unlocking them all.
As part of my UX design studies, I discovered “Project Implicit” by Harvard University. It contains a series of tests that help uncover subconscious bias by comparing your ability to compare and contrast different concepts. The tests can be accessed by picking a language, then clicking “I wish to proceed”.
Did you know the US government once brought a federal case against “Forty Barrels and Twenty Kegs of Coca-Cola” to try and get caffeine removed from Coke?

Whilst weird domain names are nothing new (e.g. I own rp.lc and diet.co.ke among others) the recently registered 一.io is just ridiculous! It’ll sometimes show up as the “real” name (“xn--4gq.io”), but Punycode domains like this are such a chaotic mess.
What a great painting of a cat with coffee.
When I first learned Android, I made a few games… I then neglected them for 6-7 years, and they slowly deteriorated and got removed from the store! I took a couple of days to update them all, fill in all paperwork required, and now games like Pixel Blacksmith can be downloaded again! It was literally my first app so it’s pretty rough, but at least it’s downloadable now.
Whilst I’ve tried a couple of times to get into the Fallout games, and watched tens of hours of other people playing them, it just never really clicked. Luckily, a high budget TV show has been made that is appealing to fans & non-fans!
I set up DMARC (& SPF & DKIM) for my domain’s email, something I totally forgot to do before. These basically prove that any emails really come from me, and as part of the auditing process I discovered multiple companies sending fake emails on my behalf! Mostly Argentinian / Vietnamese spam, but if you have a custom domain make sure to set it up for visibility at least:
Have a great week! 😸
