Okay, okay, first off, yeah, so there won’t be any essays coming anytime soon. Sorry. I should strike while the iron is hot, but that iron will have to wait.
I got a novel to finish!
What is this novel? Oh, just a little something something very different than my others. I’m adapting my own work from one medium to another, which has been a blast. The goal is to get the novel done by August, so essays will have to wait.
Not to worry, there will be words of writing advice heading your way. I just need to take care of business first.

The kill zone is far from perfect, but it’ll do. The trap is set.
“Status report.”
“Still no sign.”
“Impossible. They left thirty minutes ago.”
“I don’t know what to tell you.”
“You can tell me you have the little buggers in sight and are ready to execute.”
“I will be as soon as they arrive.”
“Do not mess up. We only get one chance.”
Then the van pulls up, and the twelve red-haired children get out.
I aim. I fire.
I get them all except for one.
My brain begins to boil before I can even think of reloading.
