Friday Night Drabble Party!

Welcome back, y’all.

I was off cavorting in the mid-Atlantic/northeast. Got to see Asbury Park, NJ, and then NYC, and a show. Great stuff! We even managed not to go broke, so that’s something right there.

The collision came out of nowhere.

But, as Hollister shoved his door open and the gunfire started, he realized that out of nowhere or not, it sure as fuck wasn’t an accident.

Ducking behind the front tire, he checked his weapon.

Or would have if it were in its holster.

Cursing the gun gods, and Hollister definitely believed in the gun gods, whether they believed in him or not, he checked right, checked left, picked a direction, and ran.

Pavement chipped and shattered around him.

A swift, sharp pain in his side told him he’d been hit.

Then blackness told—.
