‘Late July’. It almost has an accusation. ‘Near-end July’ might be kinder.
Sigh. Here we are now, anyways. 27072024, as I write.

º º º Copious weeks of Rain - I can’t call them ‘endless’ now, because they did end,
but it was RaiNarnia here for Quite Some Time - brought Copious Foliage, which became Copious Work, once it was dry + warm enough to get out there again.
The Lovely Garden had gone into overload, + in a small garden footprint, overzealous foliage in all directions is not such a pleasant experience from a fixed seated view.
So: Copious Snipping, editing, has happened + is underway.

So much Garden Time, with my strange-but-true current limitation (three hours up, each day) - has meant not much playroom time or activity.
I get to gasping to make marks after a while, and those I show here, I did while not up. Needs must.
Splashing is still calling me, though. Soon, soon…

In other local reportage:
June + July have been, as is frequently languaged now: “A Lot”.
A 30-year friendship ended (it was Time), + some over-before-they-began connections came + went.
Several new Good People entered my world, and so far are still here.
Snippy The Blackbird died.
And And And.
Grief, then, is around. (Of course, World Grief is Always Around).
Along with some welcome new support, + a lot of wondering, reappraisal, + breathing.

Sharon Salzberg continues to be a Gift, bringing me teachings that help me find equilibrium amidst the storms, rapids, + wonderings.
I enjoyed her recent online “Equanimity” course, + am now amidst “Real Life”, which I’d also enjoyed as audiobook.

Mercury is in pre-retro shadow, about to turn retrograde on August 5th.

(EDIT - Hahahah - which may explain 27022024 being the date I said I was writing on, in the original mailout.)
